Entrant – Release and Waiver
All riders together with parents and guardians for themselves and each person under their care (including
but not limited to minors who must be 12 years of age or older), acknowledge and agree to:
(a) In consideration of the Singleton Family Support Services (SFSS) permitting each rider to participate
in the Mailrun Charity Bike Ride on Sunday 16th April, 2023, and as a condition of such entry, I agree to
release and indemnify SFSS, the Organisers, sponsors and each of their servants and agents, howsoever
involved in the Mailrun Charity Bike Ride from and against any and all claims, liabilities, judgements,
orders, costs and expenses, whatsoever, made or suffered by any person or entity and arising from a
rider's participation in this event, howsoever caused.
(b) Comply with all current NSW road rules and
regulations and lawful instructions and directions by Police, the Event Organisers, course marshals and
volunteers during the Mailrun Charity Bike Ride.
(c) Cycling on public roads is inherently a dangerous
activity and recognise that there are risks and hazards specifically associated with this activity,
including the possibility of injury and damage to both myself and possessions. I therefore release the
Event Organisers of any liability resulting from injury, loss or damage during the Mailrun Charity Bike
Ride.
(d) I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any
mind-altering substance before or during any cycling activity. I accept full responsibility for injury,
loss or damage arising from consumption of alcohol or any mind-altering substance.
(e) They are sufficiently competent, both physically and mentally, to participate in the Mailrun Charity
Bike Ride and have enough previous road riding experience to participate safely.
(f) Riders must ensure that the bicycle used by each of them is in a sound mechanical and safe condition
prior to undertaking the event.
(g) During the event, all riders will wear a correctly fitted and
fastened Standards approved helmet and will ride carefully and considerately of other road users at all
times.
(h) The organisers at their discretion may refuse a rider(s) entry to commence the ride or to
continue the ride if the rider's or a minor's conduct during the ride is of a type which in the
organiser's opinion is not in the best interests of themselves, the public or other participants of the
cycling event, without refund.
(i) By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions of Entry and participating
in the Event, you consent to the taking of images or video footage of you and/ or your child during or at
the Event or its authorised agents and authorise the use of such images or video footage of you and/or
your child by the Event Owner, its authorised agents and its sponsors in all forms of media without any
further approval or compensation.
(j) Parents and guardians have full authority to acknowledge and agree to the above terms and conditions
for each person who is under a parent or guardians care and is aged 12 years and over.
I acknowledge that I have read and accept the terms of this Entrant Release and Waiver.
